Today was Earth Hour, and I hope most of us followed one hour without light.
Continuing with this topic I want to share with you something that I am so proud of.
Jesús León Santos a farmer from La Mixteca region of Oaxaca, Mexico won the Goldman Prize.
Here it is the link
http://www.goldmanprize.org/2008/northamerica
He has created an organization to restore the land from the effects of erosion by planting one million native-variety trees and another activities with volunteer work by the farmers of La Mixteca. Now they have green growth on their land.
I invite you to read the article and watch the videos.
Some times we can find positive news. This is an example.

I found this web-page of Matisse. It is very good, well documented.

“It is not enough to place colors, however beautiful, one beside the other; colors must also react on one another. Otherwise, you have cacophony.”

Here is a good example of a development of a drawing.
You can find different approaches of the same theme with lines and shapes or only lines.
I think it is fantastic.

Hi all:
Here’s a wonderful website which has a lot of information on colour origins. It’s called Pigments Through the Ages in case the link does not work.
